Cobalt Sign SRL (company information found here  cobaltsign.com/impressum referred to herein as “Cobalt Sign”(“us”, “we”, “our”) operates the readysetholiday.co website and subdomains, referred to as “Websites” and the mobile applications – Ready Set Holiday! – published by Cobalt Sign SRL on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Windows Store referred to as “Apps”. The Websites and such content, products, services and the applications are collectively referred to herein as the “Services”.

By using or accessing the Services in any manner, regardless of whether you register or create an Account through the Services, you acknowledge that you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy or Terms and Conditions, please do not access or otherwise use the Services or any information contained herein.

What does this Privacy Policy cover?

This page informs you of our policies regarding privacy, the collection, storage, transfer and use of information when you use our Services, and your access and control of your information.

Definition: personally identifiable information is information that can be used to identify an individual and it may include, but is not limited to, name, e-mail address, date of birth (“Personal Information”). It does not include personal information that is encoded or anonymised, or publicly available information that has not been combined with non-public information.

What Information DO WE Collect?

We collect information in two ways: Information we get from your use of our Services, and information you provide to us directly. We do not require Sensitive personal information.

a) Information you provide to us

This refers to information you knowingly provide when using the Services.

Contacting us

When you use our Websites’ or Apps’ contact functionalities such as contact form, feedback forms, comment forms or you contact us by email or phone directly, you voluntarily give us your Personal Information. The amount and type of information that you provide depends on the nature of the interaction you choose, but it usually includes your name and email address. We only collect information what is necessary and appropriate given the type of interaction.

Account

For accessing certain functionalities in our mobile applications we may ask you to register an account and provide us with certain Personal Information. We collect information about you when you register for an account, create or modify your profile (name, email, password) or set preferences in the Services.

User Content

The Services may request that you submit content such as text, photos, audiovisual content, and other media content (“User Content”) in order to make the Services available to you. This includes but not limited to: destinations, date of departures, checklist items, background images. Your own background images that you upload yourself are only stored locally on your device and are not being uploaded or transferred anywhere.

Using the Apps without Creating an Account

Without creating an account, the content you provide through our Apps is stored locally, on your device. This content includes any information about you that you may choose to include in the Apps. You are able to delete this content by uninstalling the app or by clearing the locally stored data in the app’s settings on devices running Google Android OS.

Using the Apps after Creating an Account

After creating your account, your data is stored in the cloud (we use Google Firebase, read more information below), in order to keep you data safe and accessible for later use and to provide the sync between devices functionality.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you voluntarily offer your email address and name. We use the information we collect to offer you customised content, such as send you updates, marketing materials, announcements or other information regarding our Services you might be interested in. You can decide to stop getting updates anytime by unsubscribing from newsletters. Every newsletter we send contains the option to unsubscribe.

We keep your information secure and confidential. You can always refuse to supply personally identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent you from engaging in certain interactions with our Services or with us.

b) Information we get from your use of the Services

This section refers mostly to statistical information about usage or functional data.

As a visitor you can browse our Websites without being required to register an account or to provide us with any Personal Information. Parts of our Apps can also be used without creating an account and providing Personal Information.

We collect information that your browser or applications sends whenever you visit our Services for statistical purposes. Different types of information are available if you are using an iPhone or Android phone, or you access our Services’ Websites through a Mac or PC. This log data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (“IP”), browser or device type, browser or device version, operating system, device identifier, crash data, the pages of our Services that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

Regarding data we collect automatically through cookies or similar tracking technologies, the base of processing is consent. Once you accept the Terms and Conditions of our Services, you give your consent to data processing. In accordance with the law, your consent is not needed in case the data process is necessary to achieve legal obligations or legitimate interest. In accordance to the settings from your Notification Section of your mobile device, we may send you push notifications with information about our Services. You can at any time disable push notifications from the settings of your device.

How do we use this data?

We use the information we collect to operate, provide the Services to you, to improve, customise, support and market our Services. To do this we may employ Third Party Services, see more information below.

We may use the information for statistical purposes, to identify usage patterns, to improve your experience with our Services, to make it easier to use.

We may use the information to detect when something is not working properly and provide assistance to you, and for security reasons, to detect potentially dangerous accesses to our Services.

We use your contact information and information about how you use the Services to send promotional communications, announcements and updates regarding our Services that may be of specific interest to you.

We do not rent or sell your Personal Information in personally identifiable form to anyone. We may share your Personal Information with third parties as described in this section.

How You Control your Data

You have certain choices available to you in regard with your information, for any information, questions or complaints regarding privacy, you can contact us.

You can delete or edit your account and Personal Information and you can stop using our Services at any time. To edit or delete your account, Personal Information and credentials you can use the corresponding functionalities from the Apps or you can contact us.

You can withdraw your consent regarding your data processing by deleting your account and stopping the use of our Services. To withdraw your consent, please also contact us and we can proceed to deleting your account and Personal Information for you. In case your data is no longer necessary to fulfil any purpose, you have withdrawn your consent to process your data, you do not wish your data to be processed and there is no legitimate reason to do so or if your data has been obtained illegally, you have the right to have your data deleted.

You have the right to receive a copy of your account and Personal Information; upon request, you will obtain a copy of your account and Personal Information in an electronic format.

You can decide to stop getting email newsletters from us anytime by unsubscribing from newsletters. You can at any time disable push notifications from the settings of your device.

We encourage you to contact us should you have a privacy-related complaint. You may also contact your local data protection authority within the European Economic Area or Switzerland (as applicable) for unresolved complaints.

Third-Party Service Providers

We may employ third party service providers to facilitate our Services, to provide the Services on our behalf, to perform Services-related services or to assist us in analysing how our Services is used, including business analytics and marketing.

We share information with third parties that help us operate, provide, improve, customise, support and market our Services. We work with third-party service providers to provide website and application development, hosting, maintenance, backup, storage, payment processing, analysis and other services for us, which may require them to access or use information about you.

If a service provider needs to access information about you to perform services on our behalf, they do so under instruction from us, including abiding by policies and procedures designed to protect your information.

If you make use of any social media features on our Websites or Apps, the social media provider may send us information in line with their policies. That information may include your name, profile picture, gender, friend lists and any other information you have chosen to make available.

Monitoring and analytics:

Google Firebase Crash Reporting – we use this to identify stability issues and errors in our Apps.

Google Firebase Crashlytics – we use this for crash analysis and to identify stability issues in our Apps.

Google Firebase Remote Config – we use this to make small changes and tweaks in some app functionality, without you needing to download an app update.

Google Analytics for Firebase – we use this to analyse and understand data from Firebase.

Google Firebase Performance Monitoring – we use this to analyse and get insights about our app’s technical performance and address issues quickly.

Viator – integrating this helps us provide tours and activities for your destination. You are being redirected to their website to input further data. Please read their Privacy Policy here.

Go Travel Un Limited – integrating this helps us provide flights and hotels price comparisons and bookings. Information you enter in the Flights page or Hotels page is transferred to them. Please read their Privacy Policy here.

Advertising

Some of our Services may include adverts provided by ad networks as third-party services.

Ad networks are companies that manage the advertising process in our Services and other services. For that reason, they may know information about you based on the way you use all the services where they provide advertising. They compile this information to paint a picture of which types of adverts you are likely to be interested in. You can find out more about how they use your personal information in the links below.

These ad networks may request access to your location so they can improve and serve content relevant to your location and serve relevant, targeted ads.

App Stores

If you download and install apps, buy apps or buy in-app products, all data that you transfer to Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Microsoft Windows Store or any other app store, as applicable, will be collected, stored and otherwise processed by the app stores according to their terms and privacy policies. App stores provide their services independently from us. We may use third party app store analytics to aggregate, analyse and monitor app downloads, installs and uninstalls, together with other anonymous data provided by the app stores.

Data Storage and Transfer

We use data hosting service providers for our Websites in the European Union to host the information we collect, and in the United States for our Apps. We collect information globally and store that information in the United States and the European Union. We transfer, process and store your information outside of your country of residence, to wherever we or our third-party service providers operate for the purpose of providing you the Services. Whenever we transfer your information, we take steps to protect it.

For storing your account data and user content data from the Apps, we use Google Realtime Database and Google Firestore Database. Together with these, we use the Google ecosystem of connected services: Authentication, Cloud Messaging, Cloud Functions Hosting and Storage. Our service providers make use of standard contractual data protection clauses, which have been approved by the European Commission, and rely on the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework to safeguard the transfer of information we collect from the European Economic Area and Switzerland.

When you use our Services you are giving consent and authorising us to transfer and store your data at our data hosting providers. We retain your information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, to support business operations and to continue to improve our Services.

Where we retain information for Services improvement and development, we only use the information to uncover collective insights about the use of our Services, not to specifically analyse personal characteristics about you.

How long we keep information we collect about you depends on the type of information, as described below. After such time, we will either delete or anonymise your information or, if this is not possible (for example, because the information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your information and isolate it from any further use until deletion is possible.

Account Information: We retain your account information until you delete your account. We also retain some of your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, to support business operations and to continue to develop and improve our Services. You can delete or edit your account and Personal Information and you can stop using our Services at any time. To edit or delete your account, Personal Information and credentials you can use the corresponding functionalities from the Apps or you can contact us. If you delete information, it will no longer be accessible to you or others who may access the Services, but residual copies of your deleted information may continue to exist on the our Services’ back-up and archiving systems, for a period of time.

Information You Share on the Services: If your account is deleted, some of your information and the content you have provided will remain as residual copies of your deleted information may continue to exist on the our Services’ back-up and archiving systems, for a period of time.

Marketing Information: If you have elected to receive marketing emails from us, we retain information about your marketing preferences unless you specifically ask us to delete such information. We retain information derived from cookies and other tracking technologies for a reasonable period of time from the date such information was created.

Locally Stored Information: Cookies are stored on your device and some data you enter in the Apps is stored locally on your device in an internal storage that is only accessible to the app. On some operating systems, you can manually clear this data from the device settings menu, but the Apps’ functionality may be affected. Any locally stored data is erased when you uninstall the app. For more information please consult the help section of your device’s operating system.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We use industry standard encryption to protect your data in transit. This is commonly referred to as transport layer security (“TLS”) or secure socket layer (“SSL”) technology. However, Internet data transmissions, cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and as a result, we cannot ensure the security of information during its transmission between you and us; accordingly, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk.

You can delete and edit information at any time, and you can stop using our Services at any time. To delete your account, Personal Information and credentials you can use the delete account functionality from the Apps or you can contact us. If you delete information, it will no longer be accessible to you or others who may access the Services, but residual copies of your deleted information may continue to exist on the our Services’ back-up and archiving systems, for a period of time.

We only disclose Personal Information to our employees or contractors that need to know that information in order to process it for us or to provide other services, and have agreed not to disclose it to others. They have the contractual obligations to respect the confidentiality of the data they have access to in order to conduct their business.

Our Services may contain links to other websites that are not operated by us. If you click on a link, you will be directed to that other party’s website. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every website you visit. We have no control over the content, privacy policies or practices of any other party websites.

Children’s Privacy

Our Services is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we discover that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete the account and information, as soon as we discover it.

Legally Required Releases of Information

We may disclose information to authorities, officials and other third parties if we are required to do so by law, and for legitimate business reasons, for example disclosures in connection with the acquisition, merger or sale of a business.

Sharing on Social Media

When sharing on social media from our Apps, we recommend sharing only with friends, not to the public, to protect your travel plans.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a notice on the Websites’ homepage, in the Apps, or by sending you an email notification or a push notification. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
